There was a time in my life when I knew about God, but I did not truly know Him personally. Like many people, I searched for meaning, acceptance, and purpose in all the wrong places. Yet even in my darkest moments, God never stopped pursuing me.
In 2002, my life changed when I surrendered my heart to Jesus Christ. I discovered that salvation is not something we earn through good works, religious activities, or personal achievements. Salvation is a gift of God’s grace.
The Bible says:
“For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God.” — Ephesians 2:8

God’s grace is His undeserved favor toward us. We have all sinned and fallen short of God’s standard, but because of His great love, He sent His Son, Jesus Christ, to die for our sins and rise again so that we could be forgiven and reconciled to Him.
Salvation is more than a prayer or a religious experience. It is the beginning of a transformed life. God takes broken people and makes them new. He gives hope where there was despair, peace where there was anxiety, and purpose where there was emptiness.
My journey with Christ has not been free from trials, but through every season I have learned that God’s grace is sufficient. His love never fails, and His mercy is new every morning.
If you feel far from God today, know this: He has not forgotten you. His arms are open, and His invitation is the same as it has always been—come to Him in faith, repentance, and trust.
No one is beyond the reach of God’s grace.
Prayer
Heavenly Father,
Thank You for Your amazing grace and the gift of salvation through Jesus Christ. Thank You for loving us even when we were lost. Draw every reader closer to You, forgive our sins, and help us walk faithfully with You each day.
In Jesus’ name,
Amen.
