What if the very thing causing your greatest frustration is not your situation\u2026 but your refusal to accept it?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Many of us spend years fighting realities we cannot change.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We fight our past.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We fight disappointments.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We fight unanswered prayers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We fight seasons of waiting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And sometimes, we fight circumstances that God has allowed for a purpose we do not yet understand.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There is a quote from Lao Tzu that says:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cLife is a series of natural and spontaneous changes. Don\u2019t resist them; that only creates sorrow. Let reality be reality.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

While I don\u2019t agree with every philosophy behind that statement, there is a powerful truth hidden within it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Bible teaches us that denying reality does not make it disappear.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

When Job lost everything, he didn\u2019t pretend his pain wasn\u2019t real.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

When David cried out in the Psalms, he didn\u2019t hide his fears.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

When Paul sat in prison, he didn\u2019t deny his chains.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

They acknowledged reality.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

But they also trusted God in the middle of it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Many people think faith means pretending everything is okay.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Biblical faith is different.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Faith looks reality in the face and says:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThis is hard. This hurts. I don\u2019t understand it. But I still trust God.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Acceptance is not giving up.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Acceptance is recognizing where you are so God can begin working in your heart where you actually stand.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

You may not be able to change your circumstances today.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

You may not be able to fix every problem tomorrow.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

But you can choose to trust God right where you are.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The peace of God often begins when we stop fighting reality and start surrendering our situation to Him.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As believers, we don\u2019t simply accept life as it comes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We accept reality while holding on to hope.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Because our hope is not in our circumstances changing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Our hope is in Christ, who remains faithful even when life doesn\u2019t go the way we planned.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Accept what is. Trust God for what will be. And never lose hope in the One who holds your future.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
